Can we fix it?
If we have the money, staff and spare parts then, um, yes!
In this game you’re trying to buy in used and broken cars and then fix/upgrade them before selling them on at a higher price. But to do this you must manage you garage's staff well making sure they complete certain tasks in the order than means everything gets done quickest. How hard can it be?
Even though this is more of a “casual game” they did at least try to add a plot! It follows how mechanical-genius Kate goes from garage to garage fixing cars while trying to get it on with businessmen and surfers. It’s standard motivation but still it certainly better than some attempts out there.
The graphics are fun and you get your feeling of accomplishment from seeing old bangers turning into pristine sports cars that sell for tens of thousands of dollars. There isn't too much detail when work is being done on the cars (ie, you don't see the spray paint actually going on) but that doesn't matter too much and everything looks nicely polished.
Generally the sounds are good, although I really wanted to hear a bit more variety in the customer voice-overs! Also I wasn't too keen on the main menu tune, but the other music all works very well.
There were a few control glitches I came across in the version I had, where it was possible to click on user interface elements once a level had finished. This even caused the game to crash.
Overall I enjoyed this game, even though it was a little monotonous. It didn't take too long to complete, perhaps 3/4 hours in total however you can unlock bonus rounds if you want to play some more.
