Chapter 10
Oh No! Trapped! Or at least that's what it seems when you fly to the left after starting this level. Luckily there is a trap door made of flammable wood below the box that is trapped in the cage with you. You might find it easier to restart and re-equip your ship with a pull beam, but it is possible to move the box without one. Then you can go ahead and burn the panels blocking your path.
When you see the upgrade station travel downwards until you reach a mechanism with a fan blowing left. The fan prevents you from passing, however you might notice that the block has a lock on it that prevents it from getting pushed back. This means you can push the block towards the fan, little by little (this probably requires a redesign of your ship so that you have 1 or more powerful rockets on the left hand side.) Once you have pushed this as far as it can currently go you should be able to break the top level slab of ice, which once broken will allow the weight to drop and break the lower slab of ice. After this you can travel fully along the top of the mechanism and drop down to the lower level on the right hand side (I had to add some rockets on the top of my ship for this.) On this level is a piece of red wood holding up the final stopper for the fan. Burn this and then fly up into the air stream and get ready to push the block again. Push it all the way to the fan which should give you enough room to travel upwards above the fan and to another upgrade station.
At the upgrade station fit your ship up with a pull beam on the bottom. Follow the passage up and around to the left. Don't worry about the first piston you encounter your ship is invincible and if you get crushed the only thing that will get damaged is the ice below it! After this there is another piston on it's side, fly past this one and the one above this. Just to the left of that 3rd piston is wooden beams on the floor, burn those and notice the crates just to the left. The first two of these crates need moving to the area above and to the left (as shown.) Try not to burn the wood on the left hand side of where the crates are going as this can add a third to your journey time in this level! Then you need to fit the pull beam to the left of your ship and pull out the metal beam that is blocking the passage to the ship part and you can pick it up.
Okay now the bad news, you'll have to fly back to the start of the level to get the rest of the ship parts. That's just how mean this level is!
Head left from the upgrade station you first came to after escaping the trap. Mind the fireballs! They fire in a sequence so you should be able to avoid them, even if not they're just a nuisance and won't harm your ship. Go down the passage that they fire down and go to the far left. You should drop down a hidden passage and by going right-down, left-down, etc... you will find a new ship part to pick up! Then you have to navigate back up the hidden passages and even further up past the fireballs until you reach a large room filled with fans!
The best way past these is to first fit some really powerful rockets to the bottom of your ship. Then as you enter the fan area you should notice some burnable planks on the floor. Burn those and use the fan hidden beneath to fly up and left. There is a passage which takes you past all of the fans, saving you a lot of frustration trying to get past them! At the end of the passage is a block of ice, which is easily breakable.
Travelling further to the right and you'll come to an upgrade station next to what looks like a large letter C. If you fly into this large letter you'll end up rolling down the hill inside it until it comes to a crashing halt outside another upgrade station. Once released you should head back to the right where you should have noticed a large ball being held in place by some flamable wood. Now this needs to be done quite carefully as getting it wrong means that the ball doesn't drop dead centre and will not break the ice below. I recommend using powerful rockets at the bottom of your ship and then in each of the top corner sockets a straight pipe and low power rocket. This should be pretty much the right width to burn both sides of the wood at the same time. The ball should then drop, breaking the ice and revealing another ship part.
After this head back down the hill and where the large C stopped. Follow the passage around until you reach a passage down with a block of ice at the bottom. Break the ice and you should recognise the area! This is where we had to turn around earlier.
Head down and left until you see the portal. To the right of the portal is a passage downwards where a ship module can be simply picked up.
The final ship part is protected by some burnable wood situated just to the left of the portal. Burn the wood, pick this up and then go through the portal to finish this level!
Chapter 11
Firstly lets go get a nice easy ship part. Head straight up into the sky until you reach a long scaffold. You should notice a ship part within the scaffold. Luckily there is a hole just big enough for your ship a little further to the right where you can enter the scaffold to pick the part up!
Back down to where you started and head right to a lift that is marked "1" - however it's not moving even when you're sitting on it. That's because there are some twigs holding it back and they need to be burned before it will move. This will require a ship design, the easiest being removing both lower boosters and having six straight pipes and the most powerful rocket you have in the bottom centre socket. This should easily each down and allow you to burn the twigs. After doing this go back and redesign your ship so that you have a couple of powerful rockets and a pull beam at the bottom of your ship. If you fly to the left you will see a box also marked "1", this needs to be placed onto the lift to keep it pushed down so you can pick up a box marked with "2" that is placed just a little to the right. Pick this up and place it near the lift where you started that is marked "5Kg", then take the box marked "1" that is holding the lift and place it near the "5Kg" lift.
Next head right, over the area you were just in (it has a roof over the lift with some logs in, go over this) until you reach a piece of scaffold with an upgrade station on top of it. You might notice a very small hole in the scaffold on the right and also below the upgrade station. This is the point where saving ship designs becomes a real time saver. Go to the upgrade station and save a standard ship design with some nice fast rockets on the bottom. Then change your ship design so that you have no pipes at all, but your most powerful rocket directly attached to the bottom centre socket and a rocket on the left and right hand sides of your ship for steering. Save this design also under a different name.
With this small ship design you should be able to enter the hole on the left of the scaffolding, traverse through it and exit via the hole below the upgrade station. Once through there is an upgrade station at the bottom of this area, redesign your ship to be able to lift heavy blocks (2 pull beams make this a lot easier.) The idea here is to balance the lift just to the right of the fan that's blowing so that the lift on the very right is at the correct height for the fireball to melt the ice that's holding the ship parts in place. The weights needed are the two blocks marked with "1" and the block marked with "5". This should balance the lifts just about right, then all you need to do is use the pull beam to slide back the cover stopping the fireballs to hit the ice.
Next change into the tiny ship design again, go through the scaffold and return to the start of the level, where the 5kg lift is.
Lets get all the ship parts before finishing the level, fly up and left until you reach a bridge with an upgrade station and a trap door. Change your ship design to use a pull beam and open the trap door (a little bit tricky this one.) Then you'll need to change into the tiny ship design to go through the passage and into the next area.
Further down you will come to a 5 small lifts and 5 blocks with letters on them. You need to place the right blocks on the right lifts to open the door to the left. The word the blocks need to spell out (if you've not already guessed) is WATER! Once these have been placed on the lifts you can continue to the left. Two ship parts await through a very basic spiral maze. Pick this up and then go to the upgrade station to the right. Redesign your ship to the tiny version again and exit the area through the bridge above.
Next head right until you reach the start of the level with the 5kg lift. Your blocks marked "2" and "1" should still be here (unless aliens have taken them away?) Redesign your ship to lift weights and carry each over to the left where there is a piston on it's side with some burnable thorns above it. These blocks should be the right width to hold the piston in place to the left. Once they are pushing the piston to the left and it's steady, go and burn the twigs above the piston and you'll see a plank of burnable wood above 3 small boxes. Burn the wood and then go and redesign your ship to have a pull beam on the bottom and left of your ship. I found having the pull beam on the left centre socket and relocation my left/right turning rockets to the top left/right sockets worked best.
Pick up one of the small blocks and place it on the platform above and to the left. Pick it up with your side pull-beam (should be possible if you're close enough) and push it through the force field above. If you manage to do this it should end up smashing the wood holding the 5kg block in place. This will then fall and slide out below. Hopefully this will go smoothly for you and you won't end up with all 3 blocks in the opposite tree like I did the first time I tried this!
Once you have the 5kg weight, carry it back to the start where the 5kg lift was, drop it onto the lift and the trapdoor below will open, letting you reach the portal to complete the level!
Chapter 12
Ooh gears and things. Well, lets not get distracted - if you travel right from the start and down you'll start entering the mine. Watch for the hidden passage on the right as you go down the mineshaft look for a small window on the right hand side as there is a hidden passage there where at the end lies a ship part!
On returning to the main passage down, continue along until you come to an upgrade station. There is a complicated looking mechanism here, however all you need to do is push the small beam below the lowers gear to the right. This will open the door.
Next you'll find yourself in the presence of the biggest gear in the world! First, change your ship design to lift items then get into (the) gear and let it rotate anti-clockwise until it stops, held in place by a metal beam just below you. Head left and pick up the spare gear lying next to some burning twigs. Drop it in the gap further left protected by a force field. Then burn the twigs as they're getting in the way! You can then fly onto the sliding platform that has the "teeth" and push it to the left to engage the mechanism. Exit this area using the hatch above and get back in the gear, turning it anti-clockwise again.
At the next upgrade station leave the gear and burn the twigs to the left. Continue down this passage until you reach a huge weight marked "10". You're going to need lots of pulling power for this one so redesign your ship with lots of powerful rockets pointed downwards (you should hopefully have these) and you most certainly need both pull beams. This takes a bit of doing but if you take it slow you'll have that weight off in no time.
Once you've picked up the ship parts head back to the huge gear and start pushing it further to the right again. It will soon stop once more, stopped by a large log in the way. You should notice a hatch blocked by some twigs, burn the twigs and drop down. Hopefully you should have the pull beams still in place from the previous puzzle, if not there's an upgrade station just above you. To the bottom and the right you should see a small spinning gear and just above it is a spare gear, trapped by some twigs. Burn the twigs and pick up the gear using your pull beam. Carry it to the left and drop it into the gap covered by a force field. This will engage the mechanism on the left, pushing the large gear out of it's hiding place! If you just let it roll it will find it's way home into the mechanism on the right.
Next pick up the small gear from the mechanism on the left and place it in the gap on the mechanism on the right. This will then engage, pulling the log down and allowing the huge gear to start turning again. Push the huge gear all of the way around so you can pick up the spare ship part at the top of this area. You'll need to push it all the way around again however to continue on to the right!
Travel right and down from the large gear to come to a curious puzzle holding the final ship part. You're going to need a very specific ship design to get this. The idea being, that you need to push the inner block upwards and to the right at the same time. You can then fish it out from the right hand side of the large block. To illustrate this I'm actually showing the ship design I used, which isn't definitive as I think there's a slightly better version, but this did work! After doing this you should be able to pick the part up and continue back up and left to the large gear.
To the top right of the large gear are 3 pistons. All are blocked by burnable twigs and you need to clear all of them to proceed! Start with the middle piston and clear the twigs to the right, then the far right piston and clear the twigs to the left. Continue up like this until the far left piston is clear. At the top of that piston and to the left is the portal!
Chapter 13
We're getting close to the end now!
On starting this level you'll probably be drawn towards the large ball thats under the starting upgrade station. This can be released by burning the twigs just to the left of it. You'll need to attach at least 5 straight pieces of piping to the right boost to do this!
Once the ball is rolling head to the right and bash into the rock blocking your path, which should break fairly easily. There is then a horizontal metal beam you should be able to shift to the right just by landing on it and pushing right. This allows you to get past and travel downwards.
If you travel to the far left you'll notice a new ship part sitting on a cart type thing. To get this ship part ram into the rock holding the seesaw up on which the cart is sitting. Then unbalance it by landing on the end of the seesaw. This will cause the cart to roll to the right giving you easy access to the new ship module!
Now lets turn our attentions back to the big ball! Push down on the lift next to the big ball. This should release it onto a lift on the right. It might be worth adding several additional rockets on the top of your ship so you can push down at this point. If you push this next lift all the way down the bottom it should stay there. if it doesn't there's a number of weights lying around that you could use to keep it there (wasn't sure if that's how it was supposed to work.) To the left of the lifts bottom is another platform which you can land on then slide it to the right to push the ball further into the level.
Once the ball is rolling again head left and you'll find yourself in another puzzle room with the ball sat on a cup like holder to the right. Don't do anything there yet, there's a good way and a bad way of moving that ball!
Instead head left and you should see a new ship module waiting to be collected, however it's trapped the other side of a force field. The trick here is to burn the twigs near the top of the room, then lift the platform that drops down using pull beams and drag it to the left. This will result in the ship part being pushed past the forcefield by a mechanism to the left of it, however you will then need to drag it back to the left because otherwise you can't escape from that area. Let the platform drop down the big hole and you should be able to go and pick the new ship part up.
Okay, getting back to that ball, you might notice that there are two ways of making it move. There's a similar "slidey" platform to the left of the ball where you could (don't!) slide it to the right to push the ball off the cup. however, if you want the ship part you'll need to redesign your ship with a pull beam on the end of 3 straight pipes from the bottom right socket of your ship. Place it through the gap near the ball and pull! You'll then need to be very quick to fly around and get the ship piece while it's available, you only have a few seconds to do this!
The ball should now be further down the bottom of the room, held in place by a metal door. Use pull beams to lift the door up, releasing the ball which pushes a lift down for you. You can now travel left and down to another upgrade station. Just to the right is some wood that might be holding back the ball (although I've seen it get past this before) you'll need to break it either way by bashing into it. Before you carry on next, change your ship design to your tiny version. Then if you continue to the right you'll soon see the portal!
As the tiny version of your ship you should be able to squeeze past the ball and go up through the tunnel that the ball has fallen down all this time. Any blue shaded blocks can be rammed (needs to be quite a tough bash.) Keep following the path until you reach the lift where you pushed the ball off it by sliding a platform into it (quite near the beginning.) You should notice (tadah!) another ship piece to be gathered. Once you've bashed the barrier and picked up the new ship part return to the ball at the end of the level, but don't go into the portal!
Squeeze back past the ball and head down and right. Then you'll reach a passage going upwards, however there is a hidden passage to the right here containing the very final ship part! Burn the twigs and go through the wall where they were to pick up this final piece.
After this head left and up and you should be able to bash through a rock (might need a rocket on the top of your ship for downwards force) to get to the portal! Alternatively squeeze past the ball again.
Chapter 14 (the end)
Not much to say for this chapter - keep flying up and up and up and up (watch out for the abominable snowman trapped in the ice!) and up and up and...well you get the idea. Eventually you'll find a rocket trapped in a block of melt able ice. Burn the ice away, get in the rocket and fly away! The End!
Finally...
Hopefully this guide was useful to you, I've done my best to cover ever area of the game and every ship part that you can pick up.
